Your Rights
(1) You have the following rights in relation to personal data concerning you:
- Right of access,
- Right to rectification or erasure,
- Right to restriction of processing,
- Right to object to processing,
- Right to data portability.
(2) You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding our processing of your personal data.
- 3 Collection of Personal Data When Visiting Our Website
(1) When you use the website for informational purposes only—i.e., without registering or otherwise providing us with information—we collect only the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which are technically necessary for us to display our website and to ensure its stability and security (the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR):
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Time zone difference from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
- Content of the request (specific page)
- Access status / HTTP status code
- Amount of data transferred in each case
- Website from which the request originates
- Browser
- Operating system and its user interface
- Language and version of the browser software.
The collection of this data does not take place continuously, but only when necessary for technical or security reasons.
(2) In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive and associated with the browser you use, through which certain information is transmitted to the entity that sets the cookie (in this case, us). Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They are used to make the website more user-friendly and effective overall.
Use of Cookies:
- a) This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and functionality of which are explained below:
- Transient cookies (see section b)
- Persistent cookies (see section c).
- b) Transient cookies are technically necessary and are automatically deleted when you close your browser (the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). These include, in particular, session cookies. Session cookies store a so-called session ID, which allows different requests from your browser to be assigned to the same session. This enables your device to be recognised when you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close your browser.
- c) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete cookies at any time in your browser’s security settings. These cookies are only set if you have given your consent (the legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- d) You can configure your browser settings according to your preferences and, for example, refuse the acceptance of third-party cookies or all cookies. Please note that you may not be able to use all features of this website as a result.
- e) The Flash cookies used are not managed by your browser but by your Flash plug-in. We also use HTML5 storage objects, which are stored on your device. These objects store the necessary data independently of the browser you use and do not have an automatic expiry date. If you do not wish Flash cookies to be processed, you must install an appropriate add-on, such as Adobe Flash Killer Cookie for Google Chrome. You can prevent the use of HTML5 storage objects by using your browser’s private browsing mode. We also recommend that you regularly delete your cookies and browsing history manually.
Other Features and Services Offered on Our Website
(1) In addition to the purely informational use of our website, we offer various services that you may use if you are interested. To do so, you will generally need to provide additional personal data, which we use to provide the respective service and to which the data-processing principles stated above apply.
(2) In some cases, we use external service providers to process your data. These providers have been carefully selected and commissioned by us, are bound by our instructions, and are monitored regularly.
(3) Furthermore, we may share your personal data with third parties where participation in promotions, competitions, the conclusion of contracts, or similar services are offered jointly by us and our partners. You will receive further information when providing your personal data or in the description of the relevant offer below.
(4) Where our service providers or partners are based in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you of the implications of this circumstance in the description of the relevant offer.
Objection to or Withdrawal of Consent for the Processing of Your Data
(1) If you have given your consent to the processing of your data, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Such withdrawal will affect the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data after you have notified us of it.
(2) Where we base the processing of your personal data on a balancing of interests, you may object to such processing. This is the case, in particular, where the processing is not necessary for the performance of a contract with you, as explained by us in the descriptions of the functions below. When exercising such an objection, we ask you to explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data in the manner described by us. In the event of a justified objection, we will review the circumstances and will either cease or adjust the data processing, or demonstrate to you our compelling legitimate grounds on the basis of which we will continue the processing.
(3) You may, of course, object at any time to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing and data analysis purposes. You can inform us of your objection to marketing by contacting us using the following contact details: [INSERT CONTACT DETAILS]
Additional Information:
SSL Encryption
This website uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries that you send to us as the website operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection when the browser’s address bar changes from “http://” to “https://” and a padlock symbol appears in your browser’s address bar.
When SSL encryption is enabled, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Newsletter
(1) With your consent, you may subscribe to our newsletter, through which we inform you about our current offers that may be of interest to you. The goods and services advertised are specified in the declaration of consent.
(2) We use the so-called double opt-in procedure for subscribing to our newsletter. This means that, after you have registered, we will send an email to the email address provided, asking you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm your registration, your information will be blocked and automatically deleted after one month. In addition, we store the IP addresses used and the dates and times of registration and confirmation. The purpose of this procedure is to document your subscription and, where applicable, to investigate any possible misuse of your personal data.
(3) The only information required to receive the newsletter is your email address. The provision of any additional data separately marked as optional is voluntary and is used to address you personally. Once you have confirmed your subscription, we will store your email address for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
(4) You may withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter at any time and unsubscribe from it. You can withdraw your consent by clicking the link provided in every newsletter email, by sending an email to the newsletter dispatch address, or by sending a message to the contact details provided in the legal notice.
YouTube-Videos
(1) We have integrated YouTube videos into our online offering. These videos are stored on www.youtube.com and can be played directly from our website. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. All videos are embedded using YouTube’s “privacy-enhanced mode.” This means that no data about you as a user is transferred to YouTube unless you play the videos. The data referred to in paragraph (2) is transferred only when you play a video. We have no control over this data transfer. YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embedding mode uses the youtube-nocookie.com domain and is designed to avoid using video views to personalise the viewer’s YouTube experience or advertising outside the site.
(2) When you visit our website, YouTube receives information that you have accessed the relevant subpage of our website. In addition, the data referred to in Section 3 of this Privacy Policy is transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether YouTube provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not wish this data to be associated with your YouTube profile, you must log out before activating the button.
YouTube stores your data in the form of usage profiles and uses it for advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website. Such analysis is carried out, in particular, to provide needs-based advertising—even for users who are not logged in—and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these usage profiles; to exercise this right, you must contact YouTube. YouTube and Google provide privacy controls that allow users to manage activity history and personalised advertising preferences.
(3) Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by YouTube can be found in this third party’s privacy policy. There, you will also find further information about your rights and settings options for protecting your privacy: Google Privacy Policy.
Use of SalesViewer® Technology
This website uses SalesViewer® technology provided by SalesViewer® GmbH to collect and store data for marketing, market research and optimisation purposes on the basis of the website operator’s legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
For this purpose, JavaScript-based code is used to collect company-related data and enable its corresponding use. The data collected using this technology is encrypted by means of a non-reversible one-way function (known as hashing). The data is immediately pseudonymised and is not used to identify visitors to this website personally.
The data stored through SalesViewer® is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected, provided that no statutory retention obligations prevent its deletion.
You may object to the collection and storage of your data at any time with effect for the future. To prevent SalesViewer® from collecting data on this website in the future, please click the following link: https://www.salesviewer.com/opt-out. An opt-out cookie will then be stored on your device for this website. If you delete cookies in this browser, you will need to click the link again. This wording corresponds to SalesViewer®’s current privacy-notice template.
Contacting Us
When you contact the provider—for example, via a contact form or email—the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in case follow-up questions arise.
Use of Social Media Plugins
- We currently use the following social media plugins: Xing, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- We use the so-called two-click solution. This means that, when you visit our website, no personal data is generally transmitted to the providers of the plugins at first. You can identify the provider of a plugin by the label displayed on the box, using its initial letter or logo. We give you the option of communicating directly with the plugin provider by clicking the relevant button.
Only when you click the marked field and thereby activate it will the plugin provider receive information that you have accessed the relevant page of our online offering. In addition, the data referred to in Section 3 of this Privacy Policy will be transmitted. According to information provided by the respective providers, Xing immediately anonymises the IP address in Germany after it has been collected.
By activating a plugin, your personal data is therefore transmitted to the relevant plugin provider and stored there; in the case of US-based providers, this may take place in the United States. Because plugin providers collect data primarily through cookies, we recommend that you delete all cookies through your browser’s security settings before clicking the greyed-out box. The two-click approach is designed to prevent a connection with a social network and related data transfer until you actively enable the respective plugin. - We have no influence over the data collected or the data-processing operations carried out by the plugin providers. Nor are we aware of the full scope of data collection, the purposes of processing, or the applicable retention periods. We also have no information regarding the deletion of the collected data by the respective plugin provider.
- The plugin provider stores the data collected about you in the form of usage profiles and uses it for advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website. Such analysis is carried out, in particular, to display needs-based advertising—including to users who are not logged in—and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these usage profiles; to exercise this right, you must contact the relevant plugin provider.
Through the plugins, we offer you the opportunity to interact with social networks and other users, enabling us to improve our online offering and make it more appealing to you as a user.
The legal basis for the integration of the plugins is Article 6(1), sentence 1, point (f) GDPR. However, the appropriate legal basis for social-media-plugin processing must be assessed in the particular circumstances; the EDPB notes that subsequent processing involving cookies, social plugins or pixels also requires its own valid Article 6 GDPR legal basis. - The data transfer takes place regardless of whether you have an account with the plugin provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in to the plugin provider, the data collected by us will be assigned directly to your existing account with that provider. If you click the activated button and, for example, link to the page, the plugin provider will also store this information in your user account and share it publicly with your contacts.
We recommend that you log out regularly after using a social network, and in particular before activating the button, as this can help prevent the data from being linked to your profile with the relevant plugin provider. - Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plugin provider can be found in the privacy policies of the providers listed below. There, you will also find further information about your related rights and settings options for protecting your privacy.
