It rattles uphill at three meters per second, before suddenly plunging steeply into the depths at a height of 63 meters. The cleverly designed track layout allows the ride to accelerate and, through spectacular curves and loops, deliver riders a unique experience of over 2G. But what guarantees safety during this adrenaline rush?
The operators‘ promotional material emphasizes the seemingly spectacular aspects: the launch, the incline, the drop height, the speed. But the safety concept behind this unleashed dynamic remains hidden from the rider. Now we’ve arrived at the most crucial element of any roller coaster: the brakes!

Braking fail-safe strategy
In a rollercoaster, the piston moves quickly and forcefully against the cylinder base and the entire cylinder is subjected to a high stress repeatedly during the switching process.
With conventional models, this often leads to continuous damage to certain machine components. In particular, if the piston rod or the seal is damaged, the cylinder works less effectively.
